The end of an era.

Gah!!

Tech sabbaticals are like partly underrated and partly overrated.

Meaning, I don't do any posting when I don't have any internet access at relatively secure locations, you know, like at my new apartment and stuff.

I STILL have this bloggeradoobloggeration with nice messy pics to post, on my to-do list ...

and I am DETERMINED to finish it off before ... the end ... of the summer!!

In the meantime, I conquer the next hill before me and enjoy the last hour of being a befuddled, distracted, and mentally convoluted 20-something.

Hee.

Happy birthday to me, we'll see what there is to see
I don't know what to expect but I'm off to New Zea!!!

(...land on April 5th. Yes!! My passport officially loves me, I think. This lil thing is gonna be one amazing document by the time I'm through with it next year. I will definitely keep it and put it in one of my traveling scrapbooks - along with my defunct debit card which I used to death in 2004!!)

And also, scrapbooking is my new obsession - since it doesn't require owning a computer. I'm working on a couple at the moment, except that they don't actually have any photos in them.

I went to Michael's this evening to try to track down some more awesome Impressionistic Big Ben and Venice and EIFFEL TOWER pages, all the neato touristy travel stuff, like at the Michael's by my school/work location ... and I found the most AMAZING new set/series called "Once Upon a Time...", by some company I've never even heard of before. This stuff is AMAZING!!!

And I wonder if it would be weird and dumb and foolish of me to want to make scrapbooks with NO pictures in them, just the coordinating art and papers and things ... because this stuff just reminds me of the most beautifully illustrated gorgeous children's picture books and stuff.

Le sigh.

Good night!

  2. Mimi, well on a perfectly routine bi-yearly google stalking of myself--just to see, you know, what's out there--i come across your hilarious blog with its pretty tasty comments. i think it's a lot of fun, those pictures you posted of us on that really pretty twilight-zonish evening. anyway, good for you--it's stylish and fun, and thanks for the honor of posting my pic (even if you do make me out to be slightly pervy. what can i say, catherine did do well by the last 10 years? no? did i really refer to her ...? i seriously don't remember that, though i've been prone to that type of observation on occasion...:). anyway, happy birthday to you, mimi--this 30 thing is pretty nuts, no? your old pal, Brett (resolute22@aol.com)
